OSPICA / WIKI

Ospica documentation

Local service, SQLite, upgrades, and permissions.

Installation and Windows service

The installer deploys the Ospica interface and OspicaService. The service listens locally on 127.0.0.1:5287. A service installation stores persistent data under %ProgramData%\Lijane\Ospica.

Requirements

  • A Windows machine able to reach the MECM sources you intend to analyze.
  • Permission to install a Windows service.
  • Suitable read access to SQL Server and, for relevant modules, SMS Provider.

By default the service runs as LocalSystem. For a remote SQL Server using Windows authentication, SQL sees the computer account DOMAIN\COMPUTER$. Your administrator may use a dedicated service account or gMSA with minimum required permissions instead.

An upgrade replaces the application and service while keeping ProgramData. Back up the database before major changes. Uninstallation retains data to avoid accidental loss.

Check the Windows service state and the local /api/support/status and /api/licensing/status endpoints when diagnosing startup or licensing.
